A little bit of Zeta Beta Tau history

Our fraternity has had a long and noteworthy past. Although many of us finished our new member education many years ago, we thought it was time to share a few more fun facts about the history of Zeta Beta Tau.

  • ZBT began as a Zionist youth society for Jewish college students.
  • Pledging was eliminated in 1989 to reduce incidences of hazing.
  • ZBT has merged with four antecedent groups throughout history.
  • An archive of notable brothers can be found here, including former ambassador to Great Britain, Walter Annenberg (Zeta of Phi Sigma Delta 1928).
